Sehlabathebe National Park

In January 2007 we visited the Sehlabathebe National Park in Lesotho. Entering Lesotho through Ramatseliso Border Control we arrived at Sehlabathebe late afternoon.

We stayed in a beautiful old farmhouse. The fireplace, in the centre of the lounge floor, was made good use of. Although it was January, we had cold weather with some rainy days.

We managed to organise some horses and took a trip to a stunning waterfall on horseback. The guys made good use of the opportunity to try their luck at some fly fishing.

In trying to find the perfect fishing spot, André Wehmeyer managed to fall into a nice big hole and went for an unplanned and unexpected swim with camera and fishing rod in hand. No serious damage, just cold and wet!

Sehlabathebe is a stunning destination and defnitely worth another visit.
